Garden City Interfaith Gathering in Response to the Pittsburgh Shootings

Garden City Interfaith Gathering

This THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1st, 7:00 PM, at the GARDEN CITY JEWISH CENTER, 168 Nassau Blvd, Garden City, NY, the Garden City Clergy Fellowship will have a conversation to address the feelings and reflections in the aftermath of the Pittsburgh tragedy. We will be discussing:

  • How to speak with our kids, both to comfort them, and to educate them as to openness toward those of different religious traditions and ethnic backgrounds

  • Issues of security at our various houses of worship

  • The increase of anti-Semitic incidents over the past two years

Over the years the Garden City religious community, in all its expressions, has come together in solidarity and friendship in exemplary ways.

We need each other particularly at this sad and frightening time.

We invite the community to come, gather, and dialog together in the temple social hall. Light refreshments will be served.

If you have any questions, please contact the Garden City Jewish Center either by E-mail info@GardenCityJewishCenter.org or by phone: 516-248-9180.
